Hands English Program

Volunteer opportunities exist for English language teachers to support the work of HATW, in the Hands English Program.

The Program is delivered through a prescribed curriculum and learning materials are provided. A program coordinator maintains contact throughout the placement via online meetings, and face-to-face when possible.

As consistency and predictability are important for effective learning when delivering education to children, teaching terms for 2018 are for a minimum of 9 months beginning with a group training late January in Thailand. Qualified pre-school, primary or secondary teachers are required and ESL/EFL experience &/or qualifications are preferred.

Volunteers are required to obtain the ‘Working With Children Check’ (WWCC) and Police checks relevant to their State or Territory.
